Unfortunately, the old light wells were made of plastic. Over the time, the earth's pressure slowly compressed them.
There was the possibility that this plastic light wells could not withstand the pressure and could break in.
To counteract this, we decided to replace all three light wells.

The new light shafts are now made of concrete. They are much more long-lasting and less sensitive to earth pressure.
On the other hand they are much heavier, 444 kilos per piece! Because of the sometimes tight space conditions, this posed quite a challenge for the entrepreneur, - restricted access with heavy construction machinery.
