The Lake Salanfe, is a man-made lake in a high glacial basin. Access to the Salanfe Dam is possible via a 3.6km mountain trail with a positive elevation gain of 549m. The approximate walking time is about 1h45. In Salanfe, the circuit of the lake takes about 2h45. A brochure available at the guesthouse will allow you to discover all the richness of the place, gold mine, glaciers, geology, fauna and flora. The Salanfe Dam has a storage capacity of 40 million m3. It was designed as a gravity dam and is 52 m high. It is 40 m thick at the base and 608 m long at the top.
