The California coast is in some way comparable to the southern French coast "les Calanques" between Cannes and Marseille. But California is on the Pacific shore and considerably more southerly. The coast is also significantly longer and less populated.
Driving on the Interstate 15 from San Diego to LA, is an absolute must. The beautiful coastal area on the San Diego Interstate Freeway 5, which lies between these two Southern California cities remains in everyone's unforgettable memory.
