Journey from San Diego to Los Angeles, I - 2019
12/2018 - 01/2019 - 22 days, San Diego - Los Angeles Journey
Driving up the California coast is something that everyone should try to do at some point in their lifetime. If you want to take the monotony out of the traditionally boring drive on the Interstate 15 from San Diego to LA, then make sure to explore the beautiful coastal area on the San Diego Interstate Freeway 5, that lies between these two Southern California cities. Most of these stops lie within Orange County. We took the PCH up to the beautiful Huntington Beach, which is about as far north as you can get in Orange Country.

Exploring the coastal area
The North Coast Highway 101 and Pacific Coast Highway, State Route 1
From San Diego driving north, first on the North Coast Highway 101 and than the State Route 1 (PCH), which is a major north–south state highway that runs along most of the Pacific coastline of the U.S. state of California, to our next stop, the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. The Resort is set on the beach, off Highway 1 and is a mile from Huntington Beach Pier, 20 miles from Disneyland Park and 13 miles from Orange.
