The old curtains are out. With a little patience and time, Corinne is ready to take on this new challenge. To work with a little more than 17 running meters of fabric requires the necessary intuition.
The choice of fabric was a printed cotton-linen mix which we found in Gérardmer. The quality of the fabrics from this region has inspired us several times.
The Bernina sewing machine and the Bernina-Serger/Overlocker made work much more convenient. It was a pure pleasure.

In order for the curtains to fit as well as possible into the windows, it is necessary to work very accurately. For this purpose we have created our own Excel spreadsheet to calculate the exact dimensions: the distances between the gliders, the size of the folds and the final length.
The biggest challenge is to get the exact measurements right onto the fabric and then cut it out carefully.
With the Laurastar, the folds of the pieces of fabric sewn together are brought into the right shape.
