Because of the winter season, the garden was not high on our to-do list. But now it's time, and we've decided to give the garden a new look suited to the southern French climate. Plants that can cope well with the fine, dry weather.
We planted Photinias, Eleanthes, Phlomis, Westringia, Ceanothe, Gaura, Cistus, Nerium Oleander, Rhyncospermum, Deutzia, Teucrium, Grevillea, Lavendula, Olive Trees and a Lagerstoemia Indica.

Almost 50 Lavendula Angustifolia join Photinias, Eleagnus, Cistus and other plants. Nature, ourselves, bees and other insect species will surely appreciate it.
Lavendula Angustifolia is the typical species in Provence. Here grows the Lavender also Lavande vraie, Lavande officinale or just the Lavandin. The true or fine Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) is the most noble among the Lavender species due to the quality of its essential oil.
Lavandin is a hybrid of true lavender and aspic Lavender. It easily thrives in the wild, but is mainly found in cultivation.
