The small vilage of Villecroze is situated at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level on the foothills of the Alpes de Provence and enjoys a privileged climate in all seasons thanks to its location, low rainfall, sunshine and the protection of the surrounding wooded hills Villecroze a charming little village that attracts many visitors. In the splendid decor of the mountains of pine and oak trees, this village has many places of interest to offer.

Tourtour is nicknamed “the Village in the Sky of Provence”. Classed as one of the most beautiful villages of France. The village has views that dominate a large slice of Provence.

Ampus, Var, PACA, France

After Tourtour we also visited the pretty village Ampus.

The  11th century Romanesque church was built at the foot of the seigniorial castle which was razed to the ground in 1590. The  “Saracen” gare which housed a portcullis is one of the last vestiges of this period.
