Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, VI - 2020
Calanque de St Barthélémy, France
The spread of COVID-19 has resulted in significant travel restrictions. However, from June 15 onwards, it was again permitted to travel to some surrounding countries. With greatest respect and under strict adherence to social distancing, we drove through the beautiful areas of the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur on small departmental roads only.
With frequent hand washing, disinfectants and masks we visited the Verdon Gorge, Bauduen, Camps-la-Source. We spent a days in Mougin, from where we made short visits to Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice and Monaco.
Exploring Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, PACA
From Mougins, which has been visited and inhabited by many artists and celebrities, the journey continued to impressive villages and medieval sites such as Draguignan, Flayosc, Lorgues, Salernes, Sillans-la-Cascade, Barjoles, Manosque, Nanon, Saint-Léger-du-Ventoux, Faucon, Vaison-la-Romaine, Orange, Visan, Mirabel-aux-Baronnies and Nyons in the Drôme department.
In Nyons we took the opportunity to make a stop again. The region is famous for olive oil, apricots and cherries. We couldn’t resist the temptation and brought home olive oil, wonderfully ripe and scented apricots and black organic cherries.
