The shy beginning of a new photographic era. The photos were still taken with an analog camera and the developed prints were accompanied by a CD with the digitised images. We spent a wonderful 14 days at Natura Park in the Dominican Republic.

Unfortunately, our vacation was overshadowed by the horrific attacks of September 11, often referred to as 9/11. On the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001 there was a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks.

Nevertheless, as the pictures illustrate, we spent our last-minute vacation in ideal weather conditions. For a short time it was not quite clear whether the return flight could take place under normal conditions. But the short doubt was soon dispelled and we could happily end our trip.
